NEW STAINED GLASS
Shirley & Andrew
'We commissioned Stonecroft Stained Glass to create a stained glass window for the front door of the old cottage we are renovating and we specifically wanted it to be the coat of arms for our town, Shaftesbury. This was depicted in the Town Hall and Michelle came to visit it and our cottage, taking photos of the image and exact measurements of our window. She explained that she would use a traditional method of acid etching the flashed blue glass and we discussed the colour and glass she intended to use. Michelle kept us informed of the progress by email and we visited the studio once to see the work in progress. When we finally collected it we could not have been more pleased - the panel fitted perfectly and looks beautiful. The blue is the deep colour we wanted and Michelle used a mouth-blown clear glass which together with the perfect etching of the fleur de lys and lion heads, brings many compliments from visitors!'
